Looks like you're off to a decent start with a music upload and a post in the Audio Forum. Posting in the audio forum is a good way to get noticed by other musicians on the site.
We have a scouting system where musicians scout each other, to help ensure that music promoted in the main Audio Portal listings isn't stolen and is decent quality. I think the scouting system causes a lot of confusion for newcomers although overall it has worked pretty well.
