Composition wise, I feel like this track lacks unity. I'm only listening to it for the second time as I'm writing this, but I can't point out a melody I'll remember and associate with it. That also goes for sound, many instruments and many different variations of sound design were used that contribute to this feeling.

However, there are a few things that have saved this track. It's the quality of sound design itself, the speech samples that introduce a story-like interpretation you were aiming for, and something about the atmosphere I can't quite point out that makes this song truly feel like a wild ride through space.

Good luck and may your run extend further than last year!

Response: I only listened to this track twice and used slightly bad wording, I'm sorry about that. This track was pretty wild and good on its own, what I meant by those elements "saving" the track is that for me, they lifted it to a level where I'd listen to it over and over again. Coincidentally, due to being on holiday with no wifi and no space on my phone, I never listened to it again. Sorry xD

Agente001Tomhson responds:

I can understand the unity part (I admit that this could have been a bit more polished), but I am genuinely confused about your perception for the melodies. Was the main motiv really not clear enough? I don't want to judge your critique, I only feel kinda confused by what you said.

Omg, halfway through and I love it already. It just has that magical vibe. Really well executed.

Step responds:

Glad it left that impression. Thanks!

I just wanted to comment on the lyrics first. They perfectly describe my current state. Don't know how you got into my mind but damn, there's a very thick fog in it indeed.

As usual I can't talk producer tips here but I'll give my input. The elements of your songs seem to be distancing themselves more and more in each song. Take Melancholia, it had a perfect balance between its two drops - one represented one thing and the other represented another. Here, dubstep, vocals and the parts like 3:38 are just not working together for me. It's got parts where they connect, then they don't again. Honestly, my favorites still remain by far CSE, The Memory Lane and Melancholia, even though the recent stuff has been mindblowing with new additions to your style.

TL;DR Imo there isn't a clear theme and I cannot perceive this track as a whole.

Agente001Tomhson responds:

Alright then! I apprechiate your input!

Unforgivably hard hitting, yet incredibly majestic. Worth listening to over and over again. Also the first song by you that I have listened to. One word - masterpiece.

Agente001Tomhson responds:

Thank you man!

Both your new years songs have such beautiful ambience. Got chills. I also have a feeling that you included some stuff from your 2019 songs in this, like Cataclysmical Solar Eclipse in the part after 4:15.

Also please, please collab with that guy below. Pretty please.

Agente001Tomhson responds:

Already talked with 3YE and yep we are collabing!

I love this 2015 Xtrullor style of music, mixed with catchy trance, but it kind of just did not connect well to me. Not terrible at all though, I did enjoy listening to it.

Uxvellda responds:

Well, I made this song without any knowledge in proper mastering and mixing. Well, thanks!

The mix sounds better this time. Still needs work on the transitions though. Looking forward to the track in progress!

3YEOfficial responds:

Thanks! Will work on those transitions :)

Please do stick with music production! I love the "it's only the beginning" attitude, it has helped me a lot in life when faced with challenges. You have an incredible and unique sense of epic in your tracks which I'm sure will evolve with time. Listening to your tracks has been a blast.

You might remember me from Soundcloud and our conversations some months ago. I had no idea you were only 14! I'm a year older and in spite of having to start from scratch, I think I'm ready for the challenge. On the other hand, you're already rolling for two years and what I'm hearing here is a lot of ambition to master a very difficult, hybrid genre of epic electronic music.

I'll keep reviewing every track of yours in the future, I've no idea why I haven't listened to the already published ones yet. Awesome stuff!

3YEOfficial responds:

Ey thanks a ton for your reviews man! Course I remember you :) really appreciate you taking the time to listen to my stuff, and I hope that your project goes well for you too!

I'll just adress the caption.

With alternative music come alternative ways of thinking, it's completely normal. At this point, everyone whose music I like has adopted this mindset. Talurre is no exception, he makes music for the "masses" only when there's a competition or a large audience (NGADM 2018, Supernova remix). In a way, it makes him brilliant, but on the other hand, I wish someone in the genre made music that would inspire others as well (2015-16 Xtrullor is a prime example).

Telaris responds:

Talurre and I were just in a little fight, he may be mad at me still, but I’m not mad at him, I still need to remove this, I’m still sticking to my opinion on the Supernova remix tho, I hope his audience can respect that

This felt like a track that has almost no connection to the original, which I suppose is your style but I kind of wanted to hear more of the Xtrullor-ness from that song. Now onto the remix itself... woah. Everything you've said about this track would've probably happened to me if I were a serious music producer. Thus, I'm glad you didn't give up because I definitely would. The beginning was promising as your orchestra is just incredibly homogenous. I didn't even notice it that much the first time, but I could only admire it over and over again. The build up, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found. One riser sound won't do when building up a hardcore bass drop, it needs to be much more dramatic if you want the drop to have an impact. The bass in the drop itself was... dry, and sharp (no pun intended). Not saying that I didn't like it, but together with the shallow build-up, it just didn't feel dramatic at all. With such high potential in the beginning of this song, I expected a dark contrast between the drop and the rest of the song, just like how it was done in the original. However - this is quite a big accolade right here - it was still better than many of Xtrullor's drops, both early in his "first era" and the newest ones. Despite the flaws with the bass and the atmosphere in general, the orchestral component of the drop was still top-notch, and actually made a contrast against the rest of the song. While Xtrullor's basses sound all watery, yours are a bit too dry - but it is not a big deal, and I have faith that you'll find a way to improve. Ok, my favorite part of this song actually comes after the drop, at around 3:18. The orchestra was simply beautiful, very ambiental and inspiring. The ending could have been a bit better as well, but that's just because I'm very nitpicky with atmospheric details as you can tell.

Overall, this review was written at 1am without double checking what I've said, so it's probably very chunky with information, so I'll pinpoint what I liked: choice of instruments in the orchestra, mixing & mastering of the orchestra, mixing in the drop (except for the dryness of the bass), the entire 3:18 section. What I didn't like: the buildup, lack of distinct melody (what makes it ring in your ears), some parts of the bass mix (the dryness, also not large enough to cover the panning spectrum), transitions, ending.

Despite giving the lowest rate here, this is for me a song worth remembering. Keep improving as an artist and please don't take anything I've said here personally - don't change your style if you like it just because someone said you should change it. I will share this song around and gather some more opinions on it though. :)

Tennon responds:

I agree with most of the stuff that you have said, like the dryness of the drop, not enough bass, build-up and the rough ending. Definitely gonna take that into account next time! However, I made this song in a very Tennon way and I didn't really want to make it sound Xtrullor, hence remix and not edit...

And no, you didn't give me the lowest rating, someone actually gave me a 2/5 lol fml
